Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
GeniusNode provides a home router and the service that keeps it working. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Google account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Google data such as email, contacts or files.
- Router. When you link a router to your account we store a random device identifier, its public keys, its model, a one-way hash of its hardware identifier, and software versions it reports. We use the hash to apply the free trial once per router.
- Subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe and its Link service. We receive your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, billing dates and amounts. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Service operation. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and request times, to run, secure and troubleshoot the service.
- Diagnostics you choose to send. If you tap the upload button in the router's settings, it sends the last ten minutes of connection records (device address on your network, destination name, and result) so we can help with a problem. Nothing is sent unless you choose to.
How we use it
- To sign you in and link your router to your account.
- To provide, update and secure the router and the service.
- To manage your trial and subscription, and to prevent abuse of free trials.
- To answer your questions and investigate problems you report.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with providers that run parts of the service for us: Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, and our hosting providers. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Retention
We keep account and subscription records while your account is active and as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Diagnostic uploads are deleted when the related request is resolved. A record that a router has used its free trial is kept so the trial cannot be repeated.
Your choices
- You can sign out of the router or the website at any time.
- You can cancel your subscription from Manage subscription on your account page.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing the address below.
Security
Communication between your router and our servers is encrypted and signed in addition to HTTPS, and each router has its own keys. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
GeniusNode is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Significant changes will also be shown on your account page.
